The Originality
Index
Stop competing in "Red Oceans." The Originality Index measures the Semantic Distance between emerging signals and historical centroids. If everyone is saying the same thing, the Index tells you to Pivot.
Sameness Index
Calculates the Cosine Distance between an article and its cluster. A score of 0.99 means you're reading a carbon copy; a score of 0.40 means you've found a unique angle.
Novelty Score
Compares current clusters to a 180-day historical baseline. Is this a new conversation, or is the market just having the same "Recurring Cycle" argument?
The Algorithm
Inverting the noise to find the signal.
High originality score (>0.8). No major competitors. This is where you establish thought leadership and "Own the Search."
Mid-range scores (0.4 - 0.7). The topic is known, but a new "Alpha Angle" is emerging. Capture the shift before it saturates.
Low originality (<0.4). High redundancy. Content created here provides zero ROI and dilutes brand authority.
